MERAS CONSULTING is a Boutique Kuwaiti Firm providing viable holistic solutions for institutions and their stakeholders. We offer hands-on approach to problem solving starting from thorough identification of challenges, culminating with the development of a workable strategic plan which includes on-site certified training.

MERAS has also established a training arm to address the training needs and capacity building of institutions.

The Meras team and their associates bring on board 20 plus years of extensive experience, locally and internationally, in education, concept development, feasibility studies, business and strategic planning, greenfield start-up projects, operational management, leadership development, finance, and training.

Meras provides solutions for companies, businesses, Government bodies & non-profits organizations as well as private schools, colleges and universities, with a reputation for the highest quality of work catering to the needs of the private local market. We work with owners regarding the start-up, operation, management, and registration of entities.

Meras Consulting is on the list of approved companies of KDIPA (Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority). This allows Meras to represent foreign investors and companies in their registration process.

Meras is also proud to be on the accredited list of consultancy offices for the Private Universities Council in Kuwait (PUC). This allows Meras to submit Feasibility & Economic Studies for proposed Academic Institutions on behalf of Owners.

KAWTHAR H. ABU GHAZALEH

MA, Ed.M., BSc // Co-Founder of Meras Consulting

An internationally-recognized Harvard graduate, Kawthar is an award-winning leader and pioneer in private higher education in Kuwait. Over her 20+ year career, she has developed diverse expertise in areas such as educational administration and management, organizational leadership and communication, workforce development and community capacity-building, and inter-organizational relationships and partnerships.

Having played key roles in three institutional start-ups, Kawthar’s proven dedication to service and program quality is legendary. She has designed facilities and systems, developed programs and policies, and built high-performance teams, all focused on ensuring that the institution, its employees and students achieve their goals.

Kawthar also has extensive experience in areas of early childhood education and development and has worked in regional pan Arab organizations promoting and advocating issues related to sustainable development and implementing training programs for mothers and children as well as children with special needs. In addition, she has been instrumental in ensuring that all the organizations and agencies she has worked for have been able to showcase their capabilities and achievements through delivery of first class regional conferences, international seminars, inaugural graduations, career expos and VIP events.

Kawthar has worked: regionally with United Nations agencies such as IMF, WB, UNICEF, ILO, UNESCO, AGFUND; and locally in Kuwait with private universities ACK and AC, in addition to the renowned International Monetary Fund headquartered in Washington DC. Her unique blend of experience gained with a cross section of organizations enables Kawthar to bring to Meras Consulting the ability to bench mark world’s best practice whilst recognizing and adapting solutions to regional and local requirements.

LAMA M. JAMALALDIN

BA, DELTA, CELTA // Co-Founder of Meras Consulting

Prior to the establishment of Meras Consulting, Lama was a key player in Kuwait’s education (9 years) and banking (8 years) sectors. Her diversified background and success in multiple sectors demonstrates her expertise in organizational development, spanning: educational administration; policies and procedure; human resource capacity building through analysis and delivery of training; customer and client relations; and investment services.

Lama’s career started in the National Bank of Kuwait where she became a Private Banking Account Officer, however her passion to empower and guide youth to achieve personal and professional success through education led her to venture into research and delivery of bespoke training.

An innovative and driven professional, Lama undertook a number of specialized certifications to work in the education field delving in both the academic and administrative fields in three higher educational institutions in Kuwait. In her roles, she has: instructed; assisted in the developing of curriculum and various academic programs; developed institutional policies; and facilitated numerous workshops and conferences. Her strong interpersonal skills have placed her in leadership positions managing staff and student bodies and seen her as focal point for liaison with stakeholders ensuring beneficial outcomes for all. In addition, Lama’s interest in students diagnosed with learning disabilities has led her to research up to date methods of teaching and learning, pursue an accreditation as a Coach for Children and Teens with ADHD and present a workshop in ‘Executive Skills in the Classroom’.

Lama adds to the company a wealth of analytical and research skills, along with exceptional stakeholder management, enabling Meras Consulting to be a leader in the provision of holistic problem solving services.
